The 2025 General Election comes at a pivotal moment for Guernsey. To support informed debate and effective policymaking, eight of the island's leading business and charity groups โ€” the G8 โ€” have joined forces to deliver the Voice of Guernsey Business Survey, a major piece of research capturing the priorities and concerns of nearly 400 organisations across all sectors.

This briefing is open to all election candidates and members of the business community. It will reveal the key findings from the survey and introduce the six most critical policy areas that require government attention to unlock Guernsey's economic potential:

  • Housing & Cost of Living
  • Education & Skills Gap
  • Tax & Economic Development
  • Connectivity, Tourism & Transport Links
  • Government Enablement
  • Public Spending

The session will offer insight into the soon-to-be-released report, providing a data-driven foundation for candidates shaping their manifestos and for businesses looking to engage constructively with government on policy reform.

Whether you're standing for election or representing the business sector, this is your opportunity to understand the big issues shaping Guernsey's future.

Hosted by the G8 โ€” comprising the Chamber of Commerce, Guernsey International Business Association, Hospitality Association, Construction Forum, Institute of Directors, Guernsey Retail Group, Confederation of Guernsey Industry, and Association of Guernsey Charities โ€” the webinar will explore the challenges, expectations, and opportunities raised by the survey.
